Tehran (IP) - Within the month ending on March 20, 2023, the IME witnessed a trade of 11,781,118 tonnes of commodities and 11,265 vehicles with a total trading value of almost 4 billion USD on its physical market, logging growths of 16.3% in value and 13.3% in volume of trades compared with the month before that.

Iran PressIran News: The exchange saw on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, a trade of 1,649,866 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 1 billion USD.

The IME's customers purchased on this floor 527,194 tonnes of bitumen, 428,160 tonnes of polymeric products, 334,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 159,000 tonnes of lube cut, 146,843 tonnes of chemicals, 38,900 tonnes of sulfur, 14,821 tonnes of oil 5,272 tonnes of petroleum products, 890 tonnes of gas feedstocks and 800 tonnes of insulation.

Moreover, the exchange saw trade of 9,809,448 tonnes of commodities and 11,265 vehicles worth nearly 3 billion USD on its metals and minerals trading floor.

Items traded on this floor included 4,496,923 tonnes of cement, 3,251,000 tonnes of iron ore, 1,605,401 tonnes of steel, 392,100 tonnes of sponge iron, 238,100 tonnes of zinc, 39,675 tonnes of aluminum, 29,355 tonnes of copper, 1,500 tonnes of cast iron, 1,090 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 48 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 29 kg of gold bars. Last was the IME's side market on which the exchange traded 321,804 tonnes of commodities.
