Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on February 3, 2023, the IME witnessed a trade of 2,846,645 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly 972 million USD, posting growths of 36% in volume and 20% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange traded on its metals and minerals trading floor 2,363,286 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 693 million USD.

Commodities sold on this floor included 1,027,702 tonnes of cement, 720,000 tonnes of iron ore, 636,279 tonnes of steel, 28,800 tonnes of zinc, 10,705 tonnes of aluminum, 7,870 tonnes of copper and 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate.

Furthermore, the IME saw on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 411,505 tonnes of commodities worth more than 243 million USD.

The IME's customers purchased on this floor 108,813 tonnes of polymeric products, 99,494 tonnes of bitumen, 94,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 43,000 tonnes of lube cut, 39,453 tonnes of chemicals, 23,680 tonnes of sulfur, 4,242 tonnes of base oil, 604 tonnes of petroleum products and 200 tonnes of insulation.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 50,043 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
