Iran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister left Moscow for Tehran on Wednesday evening, ending his diplomatic trip to Russia.

Iran PressEurope: Hossein Amirabdollahian traveled to Moscow on Tuesday evening at the head of a delegation at the invitation of his Russian counterpart.

During this trip, in response to Sergey Lavrov's invitation, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Moscow on Wednesday and met with a number of Russian officials including his counterpart and the Deputy Speaker of Duma.

Meeting with the Deputy Speaker of Duma, Leonid Slutsky, Iran's foreign minister highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy and said that there is a unique mechanism in this regard at the level of the parliaments of the two countries. 

A joint press conference, attending the official banquet of the Russian Foreign Minister and use of the smart national card issuing system at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran were among the other plans of Amir-Abdollahian's trip to Moscow.

During this visit, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs was accompanied by Nasser Kanani, Foreign Ministry' Spokesperson, Mahdi Safari, Economic Deputy, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Special Representative of the President and Head of the Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan, and Ali Alizadeh, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's parliament. 219
