IP- Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and his Venezuelan counterpart Ernesto Villegas discuss expanding ties in Caracas.

Iran PressAmerica: Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili expressed hope that by reopening Iran the cultural attaché office in Venezuela, establishing important events such as joint cultural days and weeks in the two countries will be resumed.

Cultural commonalities and a common point of view in the international arena are considered the basis for the developing relations between different fields, he added.

The issue of resistance and standing against arrogance is one of the cultural fields between the two countries, which can pave the way for holding cultural and resistance festivals, including translation and publication of books, he noted.

He urged putting on the agenda implementation of a comprehensive cultural program and signing a comprehensive media agreement.

He pointed to the issue of media terrorism against the people of Iran and Venezuela, saying that cultural measures can seriously preserve the identity of the nations and neutralize these attacks.

Meanwhile, Villegas emphasized the importance of countering the fake propaganda campaign against Iran and Venezuela and expressed his interest in implementing joint programs with his Iranian counterpart in this regard.
