Tehran (IP) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General stressed taking advantage of Iranian knowledge for peaceful purposes.

Iran PressIran News: It is a difficult situation, and I know that it is very hard for the scientific community and other people in the midst of problems to develop, but Iran has already shown that it can grow, Rafael Mariano Grossi said in a meeting with Iranian university professors, researchers, and nuclear technology experts.

"When we talk about the energy, the role of the nuclear knowledge gets more prominent. Accordingly, Iran is trying to increase the share of nuclear energy as clean energy in the country's energy basket," he added.

Referring to the important issue of food security in the world, Grossi said that the best rice in the world is grown in Iran, and we have provided assistance in this field in Myanmar and Thailand, which has increased the productivity of rice cultivation.

These cases are simple examples of using nuclear energy, he stressed.

He went on to say that nuclear energy also plays a role in maintaining human health and the existence of nuclear medicines can be mentioned.

He termed the high capacity of Iran's nuclear experts as an opportunity to develop the programs of neighboring and less developed countries.

I am sure that with Iran's cooperation, we can produce nuclear drugs and help neighboring countries, he said.

Referring to the remarks made by the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran regarding the preparation of the CPF, he said: We have received the CPF (Country Program Framework) from Iran, which basically defines the program of a country regarding what it is going to do with the IAEA.

We have to remove the doubts about the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, he stated.

I am sure that Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency can have a joint commitment.
