Head of AEOI:

Tehran (IP)- The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said that the country scaled back its obligations under the parliamentarian-ratified law dubbed “Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions.

Iran PressIran News: Rafael Grossi arrived in Tehran on Friday and was officially welcomed by the Spokesman of AEOI, Behrouz Kamalvandi.

Referring to the visit of Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency to Tehran (IAEA), Mohammad Eslami said: "Based on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the IAEA has been briefed by UN Security Council about the performance, status, and capacity of Iran's nuclear industry."

Eslami noted: "Given that the negotiating parties did not fulfill their obligations regarding Iran and even prevented other countries from cooperating with Tehran and at the same time they increased sanctions, the Islamic Republic decided to scale back its commitments after the parliament approved the 'Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions' then the IAEA announced Iran does not comply with what stipulated in the JCPOA in a report."

Meanwhile, Rafael Grossi met with university professors, researchers, and nuclear technology experts in Iran on Friday evening.

"Those who work in this very important institution are men and women of science and peace. They become more sensitive," Grossi addressed the experts present at the meeting.

"Nuclear energy plays a very important role, and Iran is trying to increase the share of nuclear energy in the country's energy basket," Grossi said, adding that nuclear technology and its use provide amazing opportunities.
