Tehran (IP)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that the country is committed to the NPT and the Comprehensive Safeguard Agreement, and Iran's professional cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency is an important principle in its cooperation with the agency.

Iran PressIran News: In his presser on Monday, Nasser Kanaani noted, "Of course, in return, we expect the IAEA to behave professionally in connection with Iran's peaceful nuclear activities and adhere to the principles and frameworks of professional and specialized cooperation with member countries, including Iran."

Kanaani added: "Political use of the IAEA distorts the professional position of this important international organization. Raising issues like this, which should be discussed in technical and specialized communications and bilateral meetings in the media is a sign that the IAEA is distancing itself from its professional behavior and professional status. We strongly reject the use of the nuclear watchdog as a tool to abuse it in the process of sanctions lifting negotiations."

The spokesman stated: "The framework of negotiations related to the lifting of unilateral and oppressive sanctions against Iran and the responsible return of all parties to the agreement is clear and should be continued in the same framework, and we hope that the agency will do so within the framework of its professional and specialized duties assigned to in connection with the nuclear agreement."

In response to a question about the Munich security conference, he said: "A conference held in the name of security should provide a balanced platform for different and global views. If there is to be an exchange of views about international security, destroying the opportunity for countries, especially effective countries in the international scene, and creating a platform for a few to present unilateral views is the same unilateralist behavior that some countries want to follow in international politics, and this is not helpful approach for international peace and security. In particular, they provided an opportunity for some well-known people and currents who both had anti-security functions and were the puppets of some countries in their interventionist and anti-security behaviors against other countries."

Inviting son of a dictator to Security Conference insult to Iran

Kanaani said: "This is a big scandal for a conference that claims to support international order and security. Inviting such people is interfering in the internal affairs of a country that has played an important role in the security of the region and Europe."

"This year, the German government gave the opportunity to warmongers and the US government, and American hardliners to express their opinions at the conference. We hope that next year the German government will make up for this mistake and restore the lost prestige of the conference," Kanaani noted.

The speaker added: "The Munich Security Conference was held in the name of security but for warmongering. The Security Conference should, as a rule, give an equal opportunity to all members of the international community to express their assessments regarding security issues."

The fact that Iran and Russia were not invited means that the opportunity to propose different and multilateral views on international order and security is lost and the platform is given to one side that seeks to consolidate unilateralism. This is a big mistake that prevents views are different from the US government's, the spokesman highlighted.

Amir-Abdollahian to visit Iraq soon

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian will visit Iraq in the near future.

Kanaani went on to say that Iranophobia and falsely introducing Iran as a threat, the attempt to distort the image of the Islamic Republic, and the demonization of the country have been well-known, old, and long-standing policies of a number of countries including the American regime and the Zionist regime, for more than 4 decades. This non-constructive approach is not new. Iran is an influential country in the security of the world.

He added: "Iran will follow its constructive approach in regulating relations with different countries based on a balanced and dynamic foreign policy."
