Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament said that Iran had followed all the steps, approaches, and goals of the nuclear program based on the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) as well as the safeguarding of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran Press/Iran News: In an interview with IP, Abolfazl Amouei said that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had conducted various inspections of Iran's nuclear program, adding the country has had the highest number of inspections IAEA, which has not recorded any violations.

Regarding the claims of the other signatories to the JCPOA, the main issue is Europe's performance in the nuclear deal, which was poor by not fulfilling its obligations and was mainly based on the normalization of trade relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran; therefore, the Islamic Republic of Iran pursues its nuclear program with national and indigenous approaches and strengthens them under the parliament's Strategic Action Law, Amouei noted.

Speaking to IP on the sidelines of the open session of the parliament on Jan 18th, 2021, Amouei added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has decided to reduce its obligations and peacefully strengthen its nuclear program and activate Strategic Action Law to lift the sanctions.

He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran's approach is merely commitment vis a vis, and its main demand is to lift the sanctions.

In further remarks, he stressed that the other signatories have no right to claim anything or interfere in Iran's nuclear program unless they have lifted sanctions.
