Tehran (IP) - The Head of the Special Committee for Pursuing the Case of Lieutenant General Soleimani's Assassination said the prosecution of the assassins would continue until they were brought to justice.

Iran PressIran News: It was on January 03, 2020, at 01:20 in the morning when Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the Commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the Second-in-Command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport, authorized by the former US President Donald Trump.

In his memoir book, Mike Pompeo acknowledges his involvement in the assassination of General Soleimani, the brilliant figure in the fight against the ISIS. 

The Head of the Special Committee for Pursuing the Case of Lieutenant General Soleimani's Assassination, Abbas Ali Kadkhodaie wrote on his Tweeter account on Saturday: "The prosecution of the US former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the former President of the United States Donald Trump continues on charges of assassinating Iranian and Iraqi officials."

He said that the prosecution would go on until the perpetrators of the crime were brought to justice.

Kadkhodaee says the US must extradite the perpetrators of the crime to Iran.
