Baghdad (IP) - The ambassador of Iran to Iraq requested the assistance of the government of this country for the activities of Iranian schools.

Iran PressMiddle East: Mohammed Kazem Al-Sadegh, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, met with Ibrahim Names al-Jubouri, the Minister of Education of Iraq in Baghdad, while enumerating the importance of the category of education in the education of the future generations of the two countries.

He  explained Iranian schools in Iraq since the Qajar era as well as Iran's experiences and achievements in the field of education, including the screening of students before entering schools.

Al-Sadegh also pointed out the existing capacities in Iran for printing and publishing educational textbooks for Iraqi schools, the readiness of Iranian companies to equip and make schools in Iraq smarter and the need for mutual assistance for the official registration and activity of Iranian schools in Iraq and vice versa. It was welcomed by the Iraqi side.

The Minister of Education of Iraq, while preparing his country to expand educational cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, also emphasized the need to conclude a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation.
