Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign minister and Secretary General of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (IOC) exchanged views over regional and international latest developments.

Iran PressIran news: During a telephone conversation with the head of OIC on Thursday Hossein Ibrahim Taha, Iran's FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian appreciated the entity's positioning in condemning the Israeli regime's desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine. 

Amir-Abdollahian also condemned the French magazine Charlie Hebdo's insult to Islamic values and proposed the formation of a legal international mechanism to stop the desecration of the holy sites and figures.  

The French magazine recently held a cartoon contest in which it insulted the leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

He held the French government accountable for the desecration and said the insulting acts are being done under the guidance of the Israeli regime. 

The end of the war on Afghanistan, Yemen, and Ukraine and the end of the war on these countries were other topics discussed in the meeting.

Ebrahim Taha for his part considered the entry of the Israeli Minister of Public Security into Al-Aqsa Mosque very worrying and emphasized that the move hurt the feelings of the Islamic Ummah.

He also condemned the French magazine's desecration of Islamic values and expressed concern with regard to the Taliban's ban on girls schooling in Afghanistan. 

Tehran-Riyadh talks also were among other topics of discussion between the two authorities.
