Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the recent insulting move by the french magazine Charlie Hebdo and said France has no right to justify the sacrilege of the sanctities of other Muslim countries and nations under the pretext of freedom of speech.

Iran PressIran news: Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday evening, while communicating the strong protest of Tehran to the French government, stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran does not accept desecration of its Islamic, religious and national sanctities and values in any way. France has no right to justify the sacrilege of the sanctities of other Muslim countries and nations under the pretext of freedom of speech."

The French ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to the black record of the French magazine in the sacrilege of the Prophet of Islam, the Holy Quran and the religion of Islam, added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the French government responsible for this hateful, insulting, and unjustified act."

In the end, Kanaani, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to respond proportionately, submitted the official protest note of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the French ambassador and emphasized: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is waiting for the explanation and compensatory action of the French government in condemning the unacceptable behavior of the French magazine."

In response, the French ambassador emphasized that he will immediately convey the views expressed and the text of the protest note to the authorities of his country.
