Tehran(IP)- The 'Iraq Cultural Day' event was held in Iran on Thursday, Dec. 2022.

Iran PressIran news:  Also, Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran Nasir Abdul Mohsen Abdullah, Iraq's Cultural Attaché in Iran Amjad Hamid al-Muzaffar, and some of the Iranian cultural officials attended the event.

The event was aimed at introducing Iraq's culture and customs, getting more familiarity with the Iraqi and Iranian cultural commonalities, and creating strong friendly bonds between the two countries.

Preparing the grounds for knowing the culture of Iran and Iraq for the people of the two countries as much as possible was among the goals of Iraq's Cultural Day.

During the event, Iraqi poetry, music, painting, history of science, food, pastries, and clothes were put on display.

The 'Iraq Cultural Day' event was held in Tehran on Thursday, Dec. 2022, with the attendance of the Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran Nasir Abdul Mohsen Abdullah, Iraq's Cultural Attaché in Iran Amjad Hamid al-Muzaffar, and some of the Iranian cultural officials.

Iraq has the most ancient civilization with 7000 years of history, said Iraq's Cultural Attaché in Iran Amjad Hamid al-Muzaffar.

Al-Muzaffar highlighted that the first laws to rule human societies "Hammurabi" was invented and implemented in Iraq, and the first musical instruments like the guitar were invented there.

Hammurabi was the sixth Amorite king of the Old Babylonian Empire.

The event is aimed at introducing Iraq's culture and customs, getting more familiarity with the Iraqi and Iranian cultural commonalities, and creating strong friendly bonds between the two countries.
