Amman (IP) - Foreign Minister of Iran and the European Union's foreign policy chief met and exchanged views on regional and international issues of interest.

Iran PressMiddle East: In the meeting of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir- Abdollahian with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, held in the Dead Sea in Jordan, Iran's chief negotiator Ali Bagheri-Kani and the EU Coordinator of the Vienna talks on the removal of sanctions Enrique Mora were also present.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, arrived in Amman, the capital of Jordan, on Tuesday to participate in the Baghdad-2 Conference.

The 2nd Edition of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership will be hosted by Jordan today with the presence of a number of heads and ministers of foreign affairs of Iraq's neighboring and partner countries in order to provide solutions to the country's problems.

The purpose of holding the Baghdad-2 conference is to support and help Iraq economically and politically. The basis of this meeting is to discuss the situation in Iraq and the surrounding countries.
