The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran left Tehran for Amman on Monday night to participate second Baghdad conference.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran traveled to Amman, the capital of Jordan, in order to participate in the conference on cooperation and partnership with Iraq known as "Baghdad 2".

The 2nd Baghdad conference will be hosted by Jordan, with the presence of a number of heads and foreign ministers of Iraq's neighboring and partner countries, in order to provide solutions regarding the country's issues.

The purpose of holding the conference is to support and help Iraq economically and politically. The basis of this meeting is to discuss the situation in Iraq and the surrounding countries.

French President Macron will participate in this meeting. The European Union will also be present. Delegations, representing the United Nations as well as the Arab League and the ambassadors of 20 countries that are major economic powers, the ambassadors of the five permanent members of the Security Council, along with all the ambassadors of the Arab and Islamic countries in Jordan, will attend this meeting.

The "Baghdad 1" conference was held in Iraq last summer, and the head of the Iranian delegation in this meeting was Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. 219
