Hormozgan (IP) - The Chief Justice of Hormozgan, Iran, announced the seizure of a vessel carrying 330,000 liters of smuggled fuel by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Navy in the waters of the Persian Gulf.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran Press, Chief Justice of Hormozgan, Iran, Mojtaba Ghahremani, said that with the coordination of the General Prosecutor of Qeshm, the IRGC Navy's Zolfaqar Flotilla, after identifying a vessel carrying smuggled fuel in the waters of the Persian Gulf, seized it.

Referring to the arrest of 12 people in this regard, Ghahramani noted that during the inspection of this vessel, 330,000 liters of smuggled fuel were seized.

The Chief Justice of Hormozgan Province stated that the perpetrators of organized fuel smuggling are sentenced to confiscation of property resulting from the crime in addition to fines and imprisonment.

In line with the implementation of Article 20 of the Anti-Trafficking Law, the vessel involved in smuggling will be seized for the benefit of the government.

Ghahremani reminded that the fuels discovered from this vessel were handed over to the Iran Oil Products Distribution Company according to the legal procedure and will return to the legal distribution cycle.
