Tehran (IP) - Iranian President in the first national conference to promote transparency and its role in administrative health and fighting corruption emphasized the establishment of electronic government and moving towards a smart government for more transparency in the administrative system, stating: Transparency avoids further corruption in the country.

Iran PressIran News: Ebrahim Raisi made the remarks at the first national conference to promote transparency and its role in administrative health and fighting corruption on Sunday.

He said that the principle of transparency is not an imported principle and has its roots in our religious and Islamic culture.

The President stated: "The basis of this approach is that people should be included in the circulation of information, contracts and agreements, and social and cultural activities."

Raisi emphasized the establishment of an electronic government and moving towards a smart government for more transparency in the administrative system.

At the same time, he did not consider the rate of progress of electronic government to be favorable and stated that it is about 25% and added: "We must move towards the establishment of a smart government."

The president called the comprehensive trade system, the system for issuing electronic versions among the measures taken in the field of transparency.

Referring to the fact that in his administration, according to the report of the Iranian National Tax Administration, 2 million people have been added to the number of taxpayers, he pointed out: "This increase shows transparency because tax evasion is one of the country's problems."
