Sarajevo (IP) – Iran's Foreign Minister paid a visit to Sarajevo Tunnel before departing for Tehran.

Iran PressEurope: The Sarajevo Tunnel, also known as Tunel spasa (Tunnel of rescue), was the only way of communication with the besieged city during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian signed the Sarajevo Tunnel memorial book while visiting the tunnel on Wednesday evening.

The tunnel, which has been turned into a museum as a symbol of Sarajevo's resistance, is 850 meters long, 1.30 meters wide, and 1.70 meters high. The tunnel linked the Sarajevo neighborhoods of Dobrinja and Butmir (giving it the name "Tunnel D-B").
