Tehran(IP)-The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran reacted to the boycott of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

Iran PressIran news: Nasser Kanaani Chafi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, wrote on his personal page on Twitter on Friday: "Leaving terrorist networks and media in hands and mouth to orchestrate smear campaign   against the Iranian nation and to boycott Press TV and IRIB" to prevent Iran's vote and opinion from reaching the world, the US administration continues to violate the rights of the Iranian nation."

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran added: "There is no end to America's crimes against independent nations and governments."

In a new move, the US Treasury Department has sanctioned 6 managers and employees of the Islamic Republic of Iran Radio and Television known as IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran's Broadcasting).; The news that was announced after the ban on "Press TV" by the European Union, and this time, in addition to the managers of the national media guidance, some employees of this media are also included.

In the statement of the US Treasury Department on Wednesday, "Ali Rizvani", "Amene Sadat Zabihpour", "Peyman Jebellli", "Ahmad Nowrozi", "Mohsen Barmahani" and "Yousef Pouranwari" have been included in the US sanctions list.

The US Treasury has accused IRIB of broadcasting "coerced confessions" in a statement whose tone is taken from common misinformation in cyberspace.

In 2013, the US administration included the Islamic Republic of Iran Radio and Television (IRIB) in the list of sanctions. In that action, Washington had accused IRIB of censoring information.
