Iran Press/ Europe: Zabihullah Khodaeian, the head of Iran's General Inspection Organization, who has traveled to Moscow for the meeting of the Eurasian Union of Ombudsman, met and talked with Vyacheslav Lebedev, the head of the Supreme Court of Russia.
In this meeting, Khodaeian referred to the independence of the three Branches of the government in the Islamic Republic of Iran, explaining the duties of the supervisory institutions, including the General Inspection Organization of Iran.
In this meeting, the head of the Supreme Court of Russia also expressed his satisfaction with the further development of judicial relations between Iran and Russia and said: "By increasing the cooperation of judicial and justice institutions between Iran and Russia, terrorism, smuggling and economic crimes can be effectively dealt with."
Vyacheslav Lebedev stressed: "Efficient laws and, most importantly, monitoring the good implementation of laws are the best support for the development of comprehensive relations between the two countries."
The head of the General Inspection Organization also met and talked with Konstantin Chuychenko, the Minister of Justice of Russia.
In this meeting, the parties emphasized the need to strengthen the cooperation between Iran and Russia in the judicial field and to deal with corruption and economic crimes.
Before these meetings, the head of Iran's General Inspection Organization spoke at the opening ceremony of the 7th meeting of the Eurasian Union of Ombudsman, calling the union as one of the organizations that defend citizens' rights and monitor the good implementation of laws in the member countries and met with the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov.
He also met with the judicial authorities of the participating countries separately at the meeting of the Union of Eurasian Ombudsman.
