In a meeting with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, who is in Baghdad, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, the Iraqi Prime Minister, emphasized Iraq's efforts to develop relations with Iran and to strengthen fruitful partnerships at various levels and fields that serve the interests of the Iraqi and Iranian people.

The Iraqi Prime Minister also reiterated his country's support for the US-Iran dialogue in this meeting.

In this meeting, Larijani, while conveying the message of the Iranian President to the Iraqi Prime Minister, emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran's desire to develop and strengthen relations in various fields, especially the railway connection between the two countries to move passengers and connect them to the development road and the main corridors of the region.
