Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister and his South African cunterpart discussed the development of bilateral relations as well as some international issues in a phone call on Wednesday evening.

Iran PressIran News: The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, while expressing his hope for the holding of the meeting of the joint commission of the two countries in the near future, welcomed the readiness of the parties to take big steps in order to develop the relations between the two countries.

Amirabdollahian also warned about the consequences of miscalculation and non-constructive actions of the US and some European countries in the Board of Governors(BoG) meeting.

During the negotiation, the South African Foreign Minister, Naledi Pandor, welcomed the prospect of holding a joint commission with the presence of the foreign ministers of the two countries and expressed hope that this commission would facilitate the implementation of the agreements reached between Iran and South Africa.

She also announced her support for diplomatic talks on the nuclear issue and said that South Africa hopes that all parties remain committed to the diplomatic path and that these talks will lead to success and the lifting of sanctions.
