Tehran (IP) - Venezuela’s Minister of Science and Technology hailed Iran's scientific achievements as a good model for the Latin American country.

Iran PressIran news: Gabriela Servilia Jiménez Ramirez who is here in Tehran, met Rouhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, the Iranian Vice-President for Scientific, Technological, and Knowledge-based Economic Affairs on Monday.

The Venezuelan minister said that Iran's scientific achievements pave the way for further development of cooperation between the two countries.

In the meeting, Dehghani Firouzabadi said the Islamic Republic is interested in cooperating with Venezuela in key fields such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, stem cells, as well as agriculture, and animal husbandry.

The Iranian official said that there are numerous grounds for cooperation between the two countries in the technology sector, adding that Iranian knowledge-based companies can play a key role in this regard.

He said that these companies have already left a great impact on Iran’s economy.
