Iran's Navy cmdr:

Tehran (IP) - The Commander of Iran's Navy says the force has managed to maintain security in international waters.

Iran PressIran News: On the occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and Development, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani made an interview with Iran Press and said Iran has managed to use the updated naval and military science to fight parties and piracy.  

Admiral Irani said that the navy has escorted more than 5,000 ships in the recent few years, and retaken the pirated ships with no casualties to the crew. 

"In fact, the whole world is aware of the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran establishes peace and security in the region, which is based on the knowledge of the Iranian youth," the commander added.
