Tajikistan (IP) - Tajikistan Deputy Minister of Culture says the relations between Tehran and Dushanbe will be shored up through the expansion of the cultural programs.

Iran PressAsia: Tajikistan’s cities are hosting the cultural week of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the participation of 51 artists after the Iranian cities of Tehran, Tabriz, and Shiraz held Tajikistan’s cultural week on October 1 to 8.

Davlat Safar, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Tajikistan told the Iranian reporters in Dushanbe that the familiarity of the two nations with each other's common culture and language could help the expansion of the two countries ties.

The ceremony of Iran's Culture Week was inaugurated in Tajikistan on Monday. The cultural programs are underway in Khujand, Bactria, and Dushanbe, with about 80 Iranian artist presenting their works.

Earlier, Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, said that interaction with neighboring countries in cultural, economic, and political sectors is on the agenda of the Iranian government.
