Tehran (IP) - Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy said there is no need for foreign forces in the region and that any attack by the enemy will be countered.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Al-Alam news channel, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, said: "In addition to protecting 32 ships of the Islamic Republic in the seas, we also escort ships in the Arabian and Red seas."

The commander of the IRGC Navy also said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has extended the hand of brotherhood to the region's countries, but other countries have not."

Tangsiri pointed out: "The IRGC Navy has invited friendly and brotherly countries such as Qatar, Iraq, Oman, and ... to participate in its drill, which it has held in the region, and we also participated in their exercises."

The commander said: "The enemy and global arrogance need to create an enemy to sell their weapons, if they don't have an enemy in the region, their existence in the region is void and no one will welcome them."
