Tehran (IP) - The third meeting of the maritime security working group of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) was held in Tehran with the presence of the member countries of the symposium, hosted by the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressIran News: The meeting was held with the presence of representatives of the naval forces of India, Pakistan, Thailand, Bangladesh and the Sultanate of Oman.

It aims to consolidate friendship and military cooperation with regional and trans-regional friendly countries and develop maritime diplomacy and it shows the power and strength of the navy in being present in international arenas.

After holding this meeting, the international maritime security cooperation center will be opened in Konarak, Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran, with the presence of participating members to strengthen and stabilize security in the seas.
