Iran Press/ Iran News: In an interview with Iran Press in Bushehr, Admiral Shahram Irani stated that in addition to simple movability in a naval environment, a capable navy must also be effective and efficient, and more importantly, the Navy is a source of honor and pride for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Emphasizing the importance of significant, safe and stable mobility of the Iranian Navy, the commander of the Iranian Navy stated that the production of a national marine diesel engine means that "threats, sanctions and conspiracies" have no effect on Iran's naval presence.
"Today, the Iranian Navy is standing on a peak that can move in the marine environment and have an effective presence, relying on indigenous power," said the admiral.
The commander of the Iranian Navy highlighted that with the production of the national marine diesel engine, the existing weakness in this field was eliminated with the efforts of Iranian experts in the field of technology and industry.
The first national 3600 hp marine diesel engine named "Makran 3600" was unveiled in Bushehr on Tuesday in the presence of Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Navy of the Iranian Army, and Sorena Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology of Iran.
