Iran Press/ Iran news: Following the resignation of the Minister of Labor, Cooperatives, and Social Welfare, Hojjatullah Abdul Maleki, in June, Mohammad Zahedi Wafa replaced him as acting Minister.
But parliament did not vote in favor of Zahedi-Vafa, the proposed Minister of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare.
The parliament started its open session today (Wednesday) to examine the competence of the proposed Minister of Labor, Cooperation, and Social Welfare, Seyyed Soulat Mortazavi.
In today's open session of the parliament, 258 members of the parliament, with 176 votes in favor, 64 votes against, and 13 abstentions, announced their endorsement of Solat Mortazavi as the labor and social welfare minister.
