Iran Press/ Europe: From 5 to 6 October, 2022, Moscow hosted the second Caspian Economic Forum, which became the most important platform in the post-pandemic period for discussing topical issues of cooperation between the countries of the Caspian region.
At the official invitation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber arrived in Moscow on Thursday to attend the second edition of the Caspian Economic Forum.
On the sidelines of the forum, Mohammad Mokhber held a meeting with the governors of the Russian Federation's economic regions assessed the capacities of the regions constructive for the cooperation of the two countries.
Mokhber said the report by the heads of Russian regions showed that the development of trade relations between the two countries was feasible to be achieved.

He called on the governors of the Russian regions to prepare the grounds for the expansion of cooperation with Iran based on their capacities.
The Iranian Veep also stressed the increase of import, export, and barter between the two countries and added: " Iran and Russia are two friendly and neighboring countries; they can use their own national currency instead of using foreign currency in commercial transactions, in which case the value of the national currency will increase as the demand for the national currency increases."
The first edition of the event was held in 2019 with the participation of Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan in the Avazeh tourist region in Turkmenistan.
