Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran reported on the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, calling Iran an island of stability in fighting against terrorism.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who had traveled to New York to participate in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, left New York for Tehran on Tuesday evening local time.

According to the Iran Press news agency Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran wrote in a report on his page on Instagram about the consultations of the Iranian diplomatic team at the United Nations General Assembly session:

"In all the meetings and sessions, while following up on the agreements of the Islamic Republic of Iran with other countries and international forums, an effort was made to convey the correct analysis outside the conventional media atmosphere to the dialogue parties by realistically describing the current situation of the region and the world.

Amir- Abdollahian added: "In most of the meetings in New York regarding the negotiation process of lifting the sanctions, the consultation and the logical position of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which wants a good, strong and stable agreement, provided the economic benefit from the deal would be obtained, was explained.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated that the officials of different countries referred to the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against terrorism and Iran's important position as an island of stability in a turbulent region and stated: "It is this stability and power that makes the enemies want to stick to any excuse to hinder the progress and development of Iran, which they definitely cannot."

Iran's top diplomat emphasized: "Efforts to neutralize the sanctions and to foil the oppressive sanctions against Iran are continuing."
