Kazakhstan (IP) - The Ambassador of Iran to Kazakhstan says the holding of such events as the 7th Congress of Leaders of World, Traditional Religions contributes to the maintenance of peace and stability in the region and the world.

Iran PressAsia: Majid Samadzadeh Saber told Iran Press on the sidelines of the event that through holding such a congress, Kazakhstan took good initiative and that Iran had good cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field.

Samadzadeh Saber said the congress played an effective role in preventing extremism and violence as well as realizing peaceful coexistence in the region and the world. 

Since Wednesday, Nur-Sultan, the capital city of Kazakhstan, has been hosting the religious leaders and traditional religions of 60 countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
