Nur-Sultan(IP)- The deputy of foreign relations of the Moscow Orthodox Church considered dialogue between the followers of divine religions effective for common understanding and solving global challenges.

Iran PressAsia: Dimitry Safonov, the deputy of foreign relations of the Moscow Orthodox Church, stated in an interview with the Iranpress correspondent in Nur-Sultan city that holding the Congress of Leaders of World & Traditional Religions is very useful and effective in the field of different religions of the world.

The deputy of foreign relations of the Moscow Orthodox Church also said that meetings related to the dialogue between Islam and Orthodox Christianity are held every two years in Moscow and Tehran and are helpful.

The deputy of foreign relations of the Moscow Orthodox Church stated that we would soon hold our bilateral meetings with Iran in Moscow.

Pope Francis, the leader of the world's Catholics, said on Wednesday at the Congress of Leaders of World & Traditional Religions in the city of Nursultan, Kazakhstan, pointing to the necessity of the efforts of spiritual leaders to deal with extremism, violence, and terrorism, that the leaders of Abrahamic and traditional religions have a historic role in today's world.

Nur-Sultan, the capital city of Kazakhstan, hosts religious leaders and traditional religions of 60 countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
