Tehran (IP) - The 7th edition of the Ibn Sina International Student Festival is underway in Tehran with the aim of creating new opportunities for students to present their achievements.

Iran PressIran news: Students from Iran and eight other countries, including Russia, Romania, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, Malaysia, and Turkiye, are participating in this festival.

Mehdi Rashidi Jahan, the Secretary of the festival, said that the initial call for the event was announced about 8 months ago, and then students were registered.

"The students who announced their readiness were trained virtually in the educative event and now, during the days of this festival, they present their achievements in person (for two days) and virtually (for one week)," he added. 

He went on to say that 2400 Iranian and foreign teams showcased their achievements in five different areas. 

According to Rashidi, the event has no winners or losers, and each team will be evaluated according to their abilities and the festival’s standards.

The secretary of the 7th Sina International Festival further said: "The students' projects in this festival will be introduced to the Iranian knowledge-based companies so that the students can take steps in choosing their future path by gaining more experience."
