Najaf (IP) - Pilgrims of the Arbaeen march in the Holy Shrine of Amirul Momineen Ali (AS), the first Shia Imam of the world, have a significant presence in Najaf Ashraf.

Iran PressMiddle East: Every year, on the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Hussein ibn Ali, millions of people from across the world march to the city of Karbala in Iraq, where the holy shrine of the Imam is located. 

These days, the pilgrims of Arbaeen march from different parts of Iraq towards Karbala and Bainul Haramain, and in addition to Iraqi pilgrims, lovers of Imam Hussein (A.S) from Iran and other countries are enthusiastically present in this vast procession.

These days, a manifestation of love for Imam Hussein (A.S) and friendship and unity between the followers of the third Shia Imam can be seen on the route of the Arbaeen Husseini (A.S) march in Iraq.

Arbaeen Hosseini's (PBUH) pilgrimage is the most extensive religious ritual in the Muslim world, which is unprecedented in terms of the number of participants and the scope of the event throughout history.
