Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the spokesman for Yemen's Ansarullah Movement, met with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's parliament speaker, on Saturday in Tehran.
Since 2015, the Houthi resistance movement had taken control of the country when Yemen's former Saudi-backed government Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi fled amid a political crisis, refusing to stay behind and negotiate a solution.
Saudi Arabia and its regional allies attacked Yemen in March 2015 to bring back to power the deposed president of Yemen, Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
Since then, the invaders have committed horrible war crimes against Yemeni civilians.
Iran wants peace, stability in Yemen
Iran has been calling for an end to the Saudi-led war on Yemen. In April 2015, Iran presented a four-point plan to the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Based. Tehran proposed a ceasefire, ending the blockade on Yemen, providing humanitarian aid to the people, and establishing an inclusive national unity government.
In a meeting with the spokesman of Yemen's Ansarullah movement, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said: "The enemies in Yemen are turning the war into an economic war to make people exhausted."
The spokesman of Yemen's Ansarullah movement also said that Yemen is in a challenging situation involving an attrition war.
Mohammed Abdul-Salam added: At first, the enemy thought the war in Yemen would be easy, but it became difficult for them to fight against the aggression.
"8 years after war started in Yemen, the enemy has admitted that it has been defeated and has reached a deadlock, which is why they are thinking about the economic blockade of Yemen," Abdul-Salamalso noted.
