Mosul (IP) – Sources affiliated with Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Unit announced the detention of an ISIS chieftain in Mosul on Saturday.

Iran PressMiddle East: Al-Hashd al-Sha'abi (the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU)) forces have managed to capture the ISIS elements in different parts of Iraq.

 The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Unit announced that the Deputy Intelligence of the organization, in coordination with the PMU Command Operation Headquarters in Nineveh Province, had captured an ISIS element in the central part of Mosul.

Accordingly, the operation was conducted following the completion of unique missions and according to accurate intelligence data, as well as after obtaining judicial permission.

The arrested terrorist was working with the terrorist organization known as "Jaysh al-Asra" and was cooperating with the ISIS terror outfit.

The terrorist was handed over to the judicial authorities for legal procedures.
