Tehran (IP) - Iran's 120 kg wrestler Komeil Ghasemi won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics, but due to the doping of the champion and runner-up of this weight, Ghasemi's bronze medal was changed to gold.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to Iran Press News Agency, in the gold medal awarding ceremony to Komeil Ghasemi held at the Wrestling Federation, Mahmoud Khosravi Wafa, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, former Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, Alireza, Secretary of the Chairman of the Wrestling Federation, members of the Executive Board of the National Olympic Committee, a group of representatives of the Islamic Council and members of the national freestyle and freestyle wrestling teams were present.

Komeil Ghasemi, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press, appreciated the officials of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports and Youth, who continued to hand over his gold medal.

In this ceremony, Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, the former president of the National Olympic Committee, was also honored for his services during the chairmanship of the National Olympic Committee.
