Tehran (IP) - The bodies of the Iranian veterans martyred in the fight against the ISIS terrorist group in Khantouman, Syria, were embraced by people in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Iran PressIran news: The bodies of the Iranian veterans martyred in the fight against the ISIS terrorist group in Khantouman, Syria, were welcomed by people in Mashhad, northeast of Iran.

The funeral ceremony that coincided with Muharram's mourning for Imam Hussein (AS) was held in Tehran's Imam Hussein (AS) Square.

With the inclusive invasion of the US-backed ISIS terrorist group on Syria in 2011, the Syrian government asked Iran for military advice to stand against the notorious terrorist group.

The former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted in her 2016 election campaign that the very US created and nurtured the Takfiri groups: "Let's remember here... the people we are fighting today we funded them twenty years ago... and we did it because we were locked in a struggle with the Soviet Union."

"They invaded Afghanistan... and we did not want to see them control Central Asia and we went to work... and it was President Reagan in partnership with Congress led by Democrats who said you know what it sounds like a pretty good idea... let's deal with the ISI and the Pakistan military and let's go recruit these mujahideen."
