The Iranian national men's goalball team defeated the Japanese team in the semi-final of the Asian championship goalball in Bahrain and reached the finals.

Iran PressMiddle East: Goalball is a team sport developed for blind or visually impaired players, in which a ball containing bells that make a sound when in motion is thrown at a goal at the opposing team's end of the court.

Iran's goalball team drew 6-6 against Japan in the semi-finals, defeated them in extra time with Milad Souri's golden goal, and qualified for the finals.

Iranian men, including Australia, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand, were in the group and qualified for the semi-finals defeating Thailand and Australia.
