Tehran (IP)- The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones said that Iran and Russia are about to establish a joint free trade zone (FTZ).

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at the introduction ceremony of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Anzali FTZ, Saeed Mohammad said: "We are looking for the establishment of a joint free zone with neighboring countries, and agreements have been made in this regard and it will happen in the future."

Saeed Mohammad added: In the negotiations that took place with the special representative of the President of Russia, both sides emphasized the establishment of the North-South Corridor.

"Although Russia has the possibility of transit in Astrakhan and from Lotus, they have obligations to start and we also have obligations to revive the corridor as soon as possible," he added. 219
