The President of Pakistan demanded to speed up the implementation of the trade mechanism with the Islamic Republic of Iran to expand and facilitate trade between the two neighboring countries.

Iran PressAsia: On Tuesday, during a meeting in Karachi with the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries residing in this city, Arif Alvi met with Hassan Noorian the Consul General of Iran in Karachi.

In this meeting, the President of Pakistan congratulated Eid al-Adha to the nation and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Referring to the importance of the Iran-Pakistan joint border market project, Alvi emphasized the necessity of taking constructive measures by the two countries to expand bilateral economic cooperation, especially within the common borders.

The President of Pakistan also demanded to speed up the implementation of the barter mechanism with Iran to strengthen bilateral trade and timely completion of border markets.

Hassan Noorian also wished success to neighboring states of Iran and Pakistan and said: "The increase of border relations, especially the facilitation of trade for the interests of both sides and the improvement of the welfare the border residents of the two countries, is approved by the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Noorian, referring to the recent telephone conversation between the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized: "On the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Tehran is determined to expand comprehensive cooperation with Islamabad." 219
