Tehran (IP) – The spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) says that Iran and Uzbekistan exchanged 776,137 tons of non-oil goods, valued at $517 million last Iranian year (starting from March 22, 2021, to March 20, 2022).

Iran PressIran News:  Ruhollah Latifi made the remarks on Tuesday, saying that trade volume between the two countries registered a 103% growth compared to the last year’s same period.

Turning to the trade and economic ties between Iran and Uzbekistan concurrent with the visit of the Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf to this country, Latifi stated that Iran had exported 714,491 tons of non-oil goods, valued at $402 million, to the Republic of Uzbekistan, showing a 146% hike compared to the same period of last year.

Latifi pointed to the import of products from Uzbekistan and highlighted that 62,000 tons of non-oil goods, valued at $115 million, had been imported into Iran from Uzbekistan, scoring a 26% growth in comparison with the last year’s corresponding period.

He explained that dairies, agricultural products, construction materials, bitumen, base lubricants, minerals, petro- refinery substances, pipes and profiles, fabrics, flooring, ferrous products, industrial equipment and machinery and furniture were the leading products exported from Iran to the Republic of Uzbekistan in the mentioned period. 219
