Tehran (IP) - President of Venezuela and his delegation went to Imam Khomeini's mausoleum in the south of Tehran on Monday to pay tribute to the founder of the Islamic Revolution.

Iran PressIran news: The Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, and his accompanying delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday afternoon for a state visit at the official invitation of his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi to hold meetings with high-ranking Iranian officials.

The two presidents met and attended a press conference earlier on Saturday.

Maduro also met with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, yesterday while President Raisi was in attendance.

Raisi and Maduro inked a 20-year partnership document to bolster Iran-Venezuela cooperation.

The Venezuelan delegation has been in Iran since Friday afternoon and visited different Iranian technological centers and factories to discuss broadening Tehran-Caracas ties.
