Tehran (IP) - The President of Tajikistan called for activating Iran-Tajikistan private sector relations.

Iran PressIran news: Attending a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi on Monday, Emomali Rahmon thanked the Iranian president for the invitation.

The president of Tajikistan stated: "We celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Iran-Tajikistan diplomatic relations, and the two countries came up with practical measures to find ways to consolidate and develop inclusive ties and ensure their expansion."

He continued: "Our meeting is a continuation of the ongoing bilateral efforts, and in the framework of this trip, we had a useful conversation in the atmosphere of mutual understanding, trust and respect, and discussed important issues of cooperation between the two countries."

"We believe that the package of new industries that was signed on the sidelines of this trip in the fields of economy, trade, transportation, energy and other fields, includes the interests of both parties and will be very effective in strengthening two countries relations," he added.

Emomali Rahmon highlighted that according to previous agreements and long-term plans for economic and trade cooperation until 2030, documents were signed today to form a council and a joint investment committee.

He noted that the memorandums would give a new impetus to the cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, trade and cultural fields, and expressed hope to see the growth of relations, given the common historical and civilizational values.

The Tajik president called for activating Iran-Tajikistan private sector relations and pointed out that establishing extensive cooperation in the Iranian and Tajik free zones and industrial towns is in the interest of both sides.
