Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that COVID-19 took the lives of 8 more patients during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 141,244.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to May 18, 2022, a total number of 7,229,074 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 7,026,733 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 288 cases, of whom 56 were hospitalized.

752 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 51,877,878 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, no city is red or orange, 259 are yellow, and 189 are blue zones.

So far, 64,464,445 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 57,747,257 have received the second dose, 27,377,182 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country has reached 149,588,884 doses.
