Baghdad (IP) – The new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad presented a copy of his credentials to the Iraqi Foreign Minister.

Iran PressMiddle East: Mohammad Kazem Al Sadeq, the new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, has recently replaced Iraj Masjedi, who has been in charge of the Iranian embassy in Baghdad since January 2017.

Al Sadeq attended the Iraqi Foreign Ministry in Baghdad on Monday and presented a copy of his credentials to Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein during a ceremony.

During the ceremony, the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad underlined the need to strengthen the current relations between the two countries and called for efforts to develop these relations in all fields and boost interactions.

He pointed to the upcoming Arbaeen March and called for more cooperation from the Iraqi side for visa waivers between the two countries.

Fuad Hussein, for his part, congratulated the new Iranian ambassador and stated that Iraq believes in the intensification of bilateral talks.
