Tehran (IP) – Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) announced bilateral talks to increase swaps between Iran and Pakistan.

Iran PressIran news: The Pakistani government has recently approved a barter mechanism between the two countries in the cooperation framework between the Zahedan Chamber of Commerce and the Quetta Chamber; this is the Pakistani government's first time has approved a barter mechanism.

 In a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tehran, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Alireza Peymanpak expressed content over the Iran-Pakistan trade, underlining the need to increase it.

The two sides agreed to launch three border markets on the Iran-Pakistan border, the first market being established at the Rimdan border crossing soon.

They also agreed to set up technical committees to study barter mechanisms and transportation issues.
