Hezbollah Secretary-General stressed on Friday that the vote on Sunday is a message to all those who have been plotting against the Resistance and the future in Lebanon.

Iran PressIran News: Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah was addressing Bekaa residents who gathered in huge simultaneous ceremonies held in Baalbeck, Mashghara, and Rayak.

The Resistance Leader praised Bekaa residents for their stance towards the Resistance, stressing that Bekaa stood throughout 40 years by the Resistance and offered all means of support.

He noted that the area of Bekaa would have been in real danger if Takfiri terrorists had obtained victory in Syria.

In this context, Nasrallah called on Bekaa residents and all Lebanese to make up their minds and choose between the hand which delivered weapons to defend Bekaa and the hand which delivered weapons to kill the Lebanese.

Nasrallah stressed the importance of building the ‘just and capable state’, vowing that Hezbollah ministers have been and will continue pursuing projects aimed at developing the area of Bekaa.

He stressed that some candidates were raising ‘stupid’ topics in their anti-Hezbollah campaigns.

The Hezbollah S.G. also denounced as a crime the Israeli shooting of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in Jenin, hailing the veteran reporter as a witness to the Zionist entity’s murders against the Palestinian people.

Nasralla hailed huge masses in Bekaa who attended the electoral ceremonies, saying “unlike plotters and conspirators, I am not surprised by the high participation of Bekaa residents.”

Before getting into the electoral issue, Nasrallah condemned as a crime the Israeli shooting of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in Jenin this week.

“Shireen Abu Akleh had been for years a witness for Israeli crimes against Palestinian people,” Nasrallah said, stressing that “the first to be ashamed by this crime should be all those who call for normalization of ties with the Zionist entity.”

He pointed to the religion of Abu Akle (Christian) as a “powerful message” behind her martyrdom, assuring that the Zionist entity doesn’t distinguish between a Muslim and a Christian.

“The criminal nature of the Zionist enemy hasn’t changed between Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt.”

Nasrallah also offered condolences to families of Syrian martyrs who fell during a terrorist attack in the Aleppo countryside on Friday.

Nasrallah then said that Bekaa and its residents have been for long years a vital part of the Resistance on level of establishment, attendance on the battlefields as well as support offered to the Resistance.

His eminence cited the heroic battle which took place in the Sultan Yaaqoub area, where dozens of Israelis were killed or injured in 1982.

“The Belaa witnessed major battles against the Israeli enemy. It was subjected to Israeli bombardment for long years in a bid to press it, residents.”

“We can’t say that you support Resistance. You are the Resistance. You are Hezbollah,” Nasrallah addressed Bekaa residents.

Nasrallah noted that enemies want Bekaa residents to abandon the Resistance and its weapons. And when he asked the masses gathering at the ceremonies about their responsibilities regarding this issue, the crowds chanted: “At your service O Nasrallah!”

In this context, Nasrallah said: “We have to recall those who stand by the Resistance, on top of which are Syria and the Islamic Republic of Iran. In contrast, we have to recall those who stand by Israel and talk today about the so-called freedom and independence, on top of which are the US and some Arab states.”

Nasrallah then praised Bekaa residents for countering the terrorism of Takfiri groups in 2016 and 2017.

“In the battle against terrorism you were loyal and sincere when you defended the country alongside the Resistance,” the Resistance leader said addressing the Bekaa residents.

Talking about the battle of Arsal barrens near the border with Syria in 2017, Nasrallah said the Bekaa region would have been in real danger if Takfiri groups had obtained victory in Syria.

“Those who supported the Takfiri groups waiting for the fall of Syria and the siege against the Resistance. Lebanese Army was prevented by a political decision to confront Takfiri terrorists in the battle in Arsal barrens.”

Nasrallah noted that anti-Hezbollah Christian powers were not thinking of the Christian population in the border area between Lebanon and Syria and that they consider them “side-losses”.

He stressed that if it had not been for Hezbollah’s weapon Bekaa would have fallen into terrorists’ hands

Nasrallah then urged the Lebanese people and especially residents in Bekaa to make up their minds and “choose between the hand which delivered weapons to defend Bekaa and the hand which delivered weapons to kill the Lebanese.”

Nasrallah recalled Hezbollah senior commander Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine, who was martyred in Syria.

“This courageous commander played a major role in defending Syria and Lebanon against terror.”

Nasrallah stressed the importance of building a “strong and capable state”, vowing that Hezbollah representatives in the government have been and will continue their efforts to develop the area in Bekaa.

He revealed that Hezbollah’s minister of public works has been working on a strategic project, a tunnel between Beirut and Bekaa.

“This project must be pursued by Hezbollah lawmakers in the new Parliament,” he said, noting that the Hezbollah minister has contacted foreign sides in Italy, France, China, Turkey, and Iran in a bid to implement this project.

Nasrallah also underlined the importance of pursuing agricultural projects in the Bekaa area.

The Hezbollah S.G. then slammed as ‘stupid’ topics raised by anti-Hezbollah candidates.

“We have seen electoral campaigns based on hatred and weird ideas,” he said, noting that such campaigns “indicate the level of lightness and recklessness of those who present themselves as future leaders.”

Citing some examples of electoral campaigns, Nasrallah said that such rhetoric has been aimed against Hezbollah through “silly and stupid ways.”

“They have been making fun of people through making Hezbollah and its weapons as a scarecrow. Hezbollah’s arms haven’t prevented anyone to implement electricity plan. Hezbollah’s weapons haven’t imposed the catastrophic financial engineering throughout years in Lebanon.”

“On the contrary, US is the side which has been preventing investments, covering theft and starving Lebanese people.”

Meanwhile, Nasrallah responded to some rivals who said they wanted to “break the finger” of the Resistance leader.

“This finger represents your fingers which are on the trigger and represents your choices that reject humiliation. My finger is safe when yours are marked with ink on the election day on May 15,” his eminence said, addressing pro-Resistance crowds.

“Your ballots on May 15 represent a message to all those who have been plotting against the Resistance and its weapons.”
