Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on May 6th, 2022, the Iran Mercantile Exchange(IME) witnessed a trade of 1,291,414 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 323 million USD on its physical market.

Iran PressIran news: According to a IME's International Affairs and PR report, the exchange-traded on its metals and minerals trading floor 1,181,000 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 229 million USD.

On this floor, the IME's customers purchased 966,853 tonnes of cement, 161,048 tonnes of steel, 23,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 16,000 tonnes of iron ore, 9,900 tonnes of aluminum, 4,320 tonnes of copper, 450 tonnes of zinc, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 24 tonnes of precious metals concentrate.

Furthermore, the IME saw the trade of 103,235 tonnes of commodities on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor valued at almost 86 million USD.

The exchange's customers purchased 32,292 tonnes of polymeric products on this floor, 22,520 tonnes of chemicals, 18,300 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 16,500 tonnes of lube cut, and 12,455 tonnes of bitumen, 1,597 tonnes of base oil, 570 tonnes of sulfur and 40 tonnes of argon.

Last was the IME's side market, with 6,983 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
